Welcome!

The Pentagon Sailing Club, Inc is a volunteer association incorporated under the Nonprofit Corporation Act (District of Columbia Code, 1981 Edition, Title 29, Chapter 5). We are the largest Chapter of the United States Naval Sailing Association (USNSA), and we train and qualify our members in accordance with USNSA and now also with American Sailing Association (ASA) guidelines and certification standards.

The PSC is dedicated to safe and enjoyable recreational sailing. We offer sail training on the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers and on the Chesapeake Bay. We hold raft-ups on the Bay, and many of our members take part in annual cruises in the Caribbean or other great sailing locations.

We base our operations at the Capitol Cove Marina on Bolling Air Force Base, and maintain a fleet of club-owned boats on the Potomac River.

Monthly Membership Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month except for December when we hold our annual Holiday Party & Awards Dinner. Click on Meetings for locations and directions.

The PSC's Training Program consists of basic keelboat training on the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers, and advanced sail training on the Chesapeake Bay. On the water training generally runs from April through October. From October to April, we hold classroom training in Boating Safety, Navigation, Rules of the Road, Sail Trim, Heavy Weather Sailing, First Aid and CPR, and Big Boat Systems

Besides all of these activities, we hold several other social events, all designed to enhance the camaraderie of our members and guests. Come join one of the best sailing clubs in the Washington Metro Area. You'll learn new skills, make good friends, and have a great time sailing with the PSC!
