The Pentagon Sailing Club is a volunteer association dedicated to safe recreational sailing on the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, the Chesapeake Bay, and wherever the winds may take us. We base our operations out of Capitol Cove Marina on Bolling Air Force Base, and maintain a fleet of club-owned sailboats. The PSC offers classroom training, on-the-water sailing instruction, recreational sailing, and club charters.

PSC Hot Stuff!!! PSC Information and Upcoming "Do not Miss" Events:
|
Two sessions - July 29th and August 17th, 2010 As a result of several recent incidents on the Bay where boats chartered by the Pentagon Sailing Club were damaged, we will be having a Safety Stand-Down to review those incidents and discuss how best to minimize similar occurrences in the future. The format will be an interactive seminar with open back and forth discussion focusing on recent accidents/issues to re-emphasize standard procedures, prudent decision making, and Skipper responsibilities. We will also discuss any inadequacies and shortcomings with our chartered boats and what our expectations should be. Attendance is mandatory at one of two evening sessions for ALL active PSC Bay Skippers, Training Certification Committee members, and Bridge Officers. Individuals in the D-CS qualification pipeline are also invited to attend. Two sessions: 29 July, Thursday, at McGinty's, 1830 - 2100. 17 August, Tuesday, at McGinty's, 1830 - 2100. Revised Procedure for Non-DoD PSC Member PSC member Hank Lavery has coordinated a new procedure for non-DoD PSC members getting access to Bolling AFB and the marina with base security personnel at Bolling. If approved, the new procedure should simplify access to the marina for our non-DoD members. To take advantage of this new procedure, you must contact Hank with your information. Click here for details and the information required to participate in this process.
