Memorial Day Raft Up (MDRU) 2018

SINBAD'S PORTS OF CALL:
EAST OF AFRICA AND SOUTH OF ASIA

MDRU Basics
This year’s MDRU begins on Saturday, May 26 and continues through Monday, May 28.

The Club will raft up Saturday night on [To Be Determined!]. On Sunday, we will sail to Oxford, MD, and dock at Brewer Oxford Marina. The club dinner Sunday evening will be held at Capsized (formerly 'Schooners'). Everyone will sail back to home marinas Monday.

Boat owners and private charterers going on the MDRU:
Contact the MDRU Coordinators to let us know about your participation in the raft-up Saturday night. Include a description of your boat so the mechanics of the raft-up can be coordinated.

Please contact Brewer Oxford Marina directly to reserve a spot at www.dockwa.com or by calling Dockmaster Jeff at (410) 226-5450. Be sure to mention Pentagon Sailing Club to access the slips being held for us. You will need to provide the details on your boat including dimensions and power requirements. In addition, let the raft MDRU Team and Bay Commodore know of your participation for the Sunday dinner by registering your group at the registration page to the right. Dinner is pay-your-own-way this year-registration is to get a rough estimate.

Sinbad's Ports of Call: East of Africa and South of Asia
Well, we've certainly reached unparalleled cultural diversity here! From Baghdad and sailing fro Basra, Sinbad is said to have made seven journeys to trade with the East Indies and China. Coconuts, cloves, cinnamon, and pepper were part of his edible hauls. Join us for fun without the high seas and be sure to bring appropriate food and decor!
