The Club has adopted a new Pandemic policy for 2021 in response to the Pandemic and governmental health guidelines. All members participating in PSC in-person events, training or activities will be required to acknowledge the Club's new policy. For your convenience, the Club has setup an electronic acknowledgement event which is good for the remainder of the 2021 Sailing Season.
On 8-19-21 the PSC Bridge set the Pandemic Risk Level at Level 2 with the following exceptions.
Nothing in our policies supersedes the Covid-19 requirements imposed by JBAB, the Washington Sailing Marina, or local Maryland, DC and Virginia businesses that may still have higher mask and spacing requirements. It takes time for governments and businesses to adjust policies so we ask, for the good of the club, please be considerate and comply with all posted requirements and recommendations as the pandemic restrictions are adjusted.
Pentagon Sailing Club (PSC) is Washington DC's premier volunteer association dedicated to safe recreational sailing on the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, the Chesapeake Bay, and wherever the winds may take us. We base our operations out of [during the pandemic] Washington Sailing Marina [otherwise] Capitol Cove Marina on Joint Base Anacostia - Bolling (JBAB) and maintain a fleet of club-owned sailboats. While the club is open to all, preference is given to members of the United States military and the club can not guarantee that non-military affiliated members will be able to participate in events held on base. PSC offers classroom training, on-the-water sailing instruction, recreational sailing, sailboat racing, and other sailing activities sponsored or coordinated by the club. We offer sail training and qualify our members in affiliation with the American Sailing Association (ASA).
