PSC Venue Access and Directions

Once you have a DBIDS card, the best way to get to the Capital Cove Marina is to put "Slip Inn Waterfront Restaurant" in your GPS. The restaurant is right next to the marina. The Visitor Center is located at the South Gate of JBAB. Make sure to check the hours as the South Gate is not always open.  Those with DBIDS cards can enter either at the South gate or the Arnold (North) gate which is open 24/7. 

New PSC Members 

  • You must have a DBIDS card to enter JBAB and the Marina
  • Submit a DBIDS application at least 3 weeks prior to your first sail
  • Pick up your DBIDS card at the Visitors Center at the South Gate (Check the hours!)

For Members with DBIDS cards

  • It's advisable to enter JBAB by  the Arnold (North) Gate - open 24/7 since South Gate is often closed
  • Follow directions (on GPS) to Slip Inn Restaurant right next to marina.  There is a large parking lot.

Directions to the Capital Cove Marina.  

From Washington, DC and Points North to the Visitor Center: 

  • Merge onto I-295/Anacostia Fwy S from I-495 S
  • Take exit toward JBAB
  • Merge onto Overlook Ave SW
  • Follow signs for JBAB (Arnold Gate/North Gate)

 From the Beltway and Points South to the Visitor Center at JBAB: 

  • Take exit 2A-2B for I-295 N toward Washington/National Harbor
  • Keep left to continue on exit 2B, follow signs for I-295 N/Washington
  • Continue onto I-295 N
  • Take exit 1 toward Laboratory Rd/US Naval Research Lab
  • Turn right onto Overlook Ave SW
  • Follow signs for JBAB (South Gate)
