2026 PSC Memorial Day Raft-Up: Mardi Gras on the Bay
Three days of sailing, rafting, and revelry for PSC members.
Event Overview
Join PSC for a three-day Memorial Day raft-up and social sail as we bring Mardi Gras flair to the Chesapeake. The fleet includes one club-chartered catamaran and two Jeanneau monohulls for a fun long weekend on the Bay.
- Dates: Memorial Day Weekend 2026 (Saturday–Monday)
- Theme: Mardi Gras — each boat chooses its own Krewe theme
- Fleet: Catamaran, Jeanneau 379 Serenity, Jeanneau 39i Moxie
- Audience: PSC members and guests

Sail Solomons, Spring Cove Marina

Planned Itinerary
Saturday – Departure & Raft-Up
- Morning departure from Spring Cove Marina in Solomons.
- Sail up the Bay and rendezvous with other PSC boats.
- Afternoon raft-up in San Domingo Creek, conditions permitting.
- Decorate your boat to match your Mardi Gras Krewe theme.
- CAPTs will coordinate raft-up details and anchoring plans.
Sunday – Oxford & Shoreside Social
- Break the raft in the morning and sail to Oxford, MD.
- Dock at Safe Harbor Oxford Marina; slips should be reserved through DOCKWA.
- At 3:00 pm, gather ashore at Capsize OXMD near the marina.
- Each participant is responsible for paying their own restaurant bill.
Monday – Return Sail
- Depart Oxford in the morning.
- Sail back toward Solomons and respective home ports.
- Practice navigation, sail trim, docking, and crew coordination along the way.
Final route, timing, and anchorages may change based on weather, traffic, and skipper discretion.
Mardi Gras Krewe Themes
This year’s raft-up theme is Mardi Gras. Each boat can create its own Krewe identity with decorations, colors, costumes, and festive flair.
- Choose a Krewe name, signature food, and drink with your crew.
- Bring beads, masks, flags, and themed décor.
- Have fun and make your boat stand out on the raft-up.
What to Expect
- A fun multi-day liveaboard experience on the Chesapeake.
- Time to relax, socialize, and enjoy the holiday weekend with PSC members.
- Opportunities to sharpen sailing, navigation, anchoring, and docking skills.
- Plenty of deck space to relax if your goal is simply to enjoy the ride.
Costs
Registration covers charter costs only.
Additional expenses are not included and will be shared by the crew as applicable:
- Food and beverages
- Fuel
- Pump-out
- Slip and dock fees
- Restaurant meals
Cancellation Policy
- Fees will not be refunded if cancellation occurs within 30 days of the start date of the sail, unless the participant finds a replacement.
- The club will assist with publicity for an open berth, but will not be responsible for finding a replacement.
