WOMEN on WATER (WOW) is open to female Pentagon Sailing Club (PSC) members and meets on select Thursdays and Saturdays at the Capital Cove Marina, Washington, D.C., on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB). After each sail, the group gathers at the marina's waterfront restaurant, The Slip Inn.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When do you sail?
“WOMEN on WATER sails two to three times a month during the sailing season (April through September) on select Thursdays and Saturdays. On Thursdays, WOW sails from 5:30 pm until dusk. On Saturday mornings, the group sails for two to three hours beginning at 9:00 am. After the sail, they meet at the marina's waterfront restaurant, The Slip Inn.”
Where do you meet?
“The group meets on the Capital Cove Marina docks, where PSC moors a fleet of Catalina Capri 22s. The marina is on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), 90 Giovannoli Way, Washington, D.C. 20032. Directions"
Do I need a military ID or CAC card to access Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)?
“No. Instead, you will need a DBIDS card. AFTER completing your PSC membership application, you may apply for a DBIDS card."
Do I need to know how to sail?
“Nope. Novices are welcome! WOMEN on WATER supports all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned sailors. We aim to help each member reach their goals, whether working on the basics, focusing on specific techniques, or simply getting away to relax on the water with a phenomenal group of people.”
How do I join WOMEN on WATER?
"First, renew or apply for a PSC membership. Next, register for the 2024 WOW Sailing Season, then sign up for a WOW Social Sail."
Is there a local store where I can purchase sailing equipment I might need?
"Absolutely, there are many great retailers you can use for your sailing gear and equipment needs. Our club has a great relationship with the local West Marine."
