We will be taking three of our four Capri 22s (AGUILA, PEREGRINE and GANNET) out of the river and preparing them for the off-season. Boat Captains will lead the effort for their respective boats.
Come as you can. We will begin our work from 0900 at Capital Cove Marina, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
We are seeking Club members to support this work which includes taking boats out of the water and positioning them on the hard; clean the boats; take down life lines; remove sails, running rigging, remove and store engines; and secure boats for the off-season.
We are also seeking volunteers to prepare and run a refreshment station with food and drinks. (No alcoholic beverages, we’ve got work to do! However, let’s at the BBQ area on the spit of land between the marina and the river for adult beverages--after boats are put to bed ).
The inclement weather plan for this work is: plan to get wet.
Sign up to volunteer at google sheet.
Please contact Membership Commodore, Abion Dorhosti at membership@pentagonsailing.org for questions on refreshment station.
