If you love the Chesapeake Bay, come join us for this month's topic: The Wonders of the Chesapeake Bay! See it through the eyes of **Kristen Greenaway, an avid sailor, lover of the Chesapeake and CEO of The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM).

   She will talk about what the CBMM is currently doing to preserve, explore the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region. If you don't know, you can also learn how to make the 18-acre campus along the Miles River your home port. The campus features a working shipyard, the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse and many other engaging exhibitions. For those who are looking for an interesting place to visit this fall or winter, the CBMM is also accessible in about 2 hours by car in the beautiful town of St. Michael's on the Eastern Shore.

**Kristen Greenaway was born and raised in New Zealand and grew up on a 32 ft Keeler built by her father and has sailed most of her life.  In 1989, she left NZ sailing in the inaugural two-month Auckland to Fukuoka Yacht Race on a 60ft ketch as a member of an all-women's crew. She accepted the position of President of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in July 2014.  In her spare time, she owns a Cape Dory 32 and appreciates exploring the extensive waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
