Piloting and Navigation

This is a two part class, part 1 is on Feb 27th and part 2 is on Mar 6th. Participants should plan to attend both sessions. 

Piloting involves navigating a vessel in restricted waters and fixing its position as precisely as possible at frequent intervals. Team PSC will help you learn, among other things, lines of position, dead reckoning, ranges, estimated positions, running fixes, and danger bearings. 

Participants will need to provide their own navigation tools and charts.  

Navigation tools should include: 

NOAA Chart 12270 will be used during the course.  Charts can be purchased here!

Members may use one (1) FVSM for this class. Please check the FVSM spreadsheet to make sure you have FVSM(s) available before choosing this pricing option.
