Special Event: Women’s Journey in Sailing

Please join us for an inspiring session called “Women’s Journeys in Sailing” featuring a panel of 3 highly accomplished women sailors:

• Renee Mehl, Director, Command and Seamanship Training Squadron, U.S. Naval Academy and highly accomplished racer
• Lynn McClaskey, Skipper, Cimarron (Sailboat), Annapolis to Bermuda Racer
• Sylvie Duverger, PSC Skipper, WoW Skipper, Trans-Atlantic cruiser

The Pentagon Sailing Club (PSC) Women on Water (WoW) group will celebrate the beginning of the 2024 sailing season by hosting this special half-day event to share what we love best about sailing. The target audience is PSC members, and women sailors from across the Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington DC areas. Seize this opportunity to meet and mingle with women sailors from our region and re-energize for the 2024 sailing season! Be inspired by the sailing stories of three highly skilled sailors with unique experiences in sailboat racing, bareboat cruising, and sailing instruction.

The event will begin with a meet and greet and informal conversations about what we love about sailing.  PSC commadores will provide an overview of opportunities for women sailors within and beyond the Pentagon Sailing Club and our accomplished panel will share sailing stories and a few pointers for developing sailing skills. The event will conclude with lunch and time for you to share your stories with fellow sailors and to make plans for an exciting 2024 sailing season.

Location: Altavista Condominiums, 900 N Stafford St, 8^th floor e-lounge, Arlington, VA

Cost: $10 PSC members; $15 non-members.
