I'm looking at a 2014 Jeanneau SO 409. 3 cabin 2 head layout. For $190k. I'm a first-time buyer so I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts offhand on the price and 2nd wanted to see if anyone had any books/ebooks to recommend for the buying process. The seller is a YouTuber so I have a great opportunity to see the boat in action and she seems sound. They've already sent me their survey from when they purchased the boat 3 years ago. I do know the standing rigging is original so it's something I have to consider replacing in the next few years or so. Any other thoughts to consider would be greatly appreciated.
I don't have any advice for you, but good luck. Hopefully you'll get the chance to sail on her before you put in an offer.
Thanks! The owners are headed back to FL so I would do a sea trial and survey before the offer. The owner is currently getting an inspection done which they said they'd share so fingers crossed.
