It is time to prepare the boats for a winter in their dry-slips.
On Saturday, 4 November at 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, we will convene to haul out the boats and begin lay-up activities. We need help cutting up Falcon so we can use the trailer on Sunday to haul out the fouth boat. Three boats will be hauled out, sails will be removed, inspected and inventoried, along with all other materials on the boat. Each boat will need a crew to support removal. More volunteers are needed on Saturday than on Sunday, but work will be done both days.
- Falcon is still on one trailer. The metal and deck have been removed but the hull still needs to be disposed of. This should take two people about 4 hours.
On Sunday, 5 November from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, we will complete lay-up activities still left and then place the boats in the dry dock area and pull out the fourth boat after Falcon is completely disposed of.
It is OK to sign up for one day or both days depending on your availability. Day 1 is Saturday, Day 2 is Sunday.
Volunteers who do not possess a Common Access Card must complete all sections of the registration form.
Alternate date: Saturday, 11 November 2023
